How to invoice in Argentina
ARCA clears each Argentine invoice (factura) in real time, and it must be issued electronically, showing the issuer's and customer's CUIT, the correct invoice class (A, B or C, which depends on both parties' IVA status), the point of sale and sequential number, and the itemised amounts. IVA at 21% must be shown separately (discriminated) on a Factura A between VAT-registered parties. Every invoice must carry the ARCA authorisation code (CAE) with its expiry date and the mandatory QR code.

E-invoicing in Argentina
Electronic invoicing has been mandatory for VAT-registered taxpayers since 1 July 2015 and was extended to monotributo taxpayers under RG 4290/2018. Each invoice needs real-time CAE authorisation from ARCA (the agency that replaced AFIP in October 2024) and must carry ARCA's QR code. Since 1 August 2026 CAE is the main and mandatory method for VAT-registered taxpayers, and CAEA advance authorisation may be used only in contingencies (RG 5782 and 5785, postponed by RG 5852/2026). RG 5866/2026, in force since 1 July 2026, replaced RG 5824. It adds invoicing obligations for directors' fees and for financial, insurance, prepaid-health, private-education and crypto-asset businesses in stages from July 2026 to March 2027, lets some of them invoice monthly, and requires the buyer's ID on sales to final consumers of ARS 10,000,000 or more.
Invoice Forever can export a structured EN 16931 (UBL) e-invoice alongside the PDF (beta) — the format most of these mandates are built on. You still send it via your own access point, and some countries require their own national format.

Payment terms in Argentina
Business terms are commonly cuenta corriente at 30 days, though 30-60 days occurs; persistent inflation pushes many suppliers toward shorter terms, advance payment or price-adjustment/USD-linked clauses. Amounts are invoiced in Argentine pesos (ARS).
