For freelancers

Invoicing that respects your time.

You didn't go freelance to spend evenings formatting invoices. Make and download your first invoice without an account. Once you have regular clients, a free account keeps their details, your rates and your logo, emails the invoice for you, and can follow up when a payment is late.

Sound familiar?

The annoying parts, handled.

Chasing late payments

If a contract with a business client sets no payment date, the EU Late Payment Directive (2011/7/EU) entitles you to interest from 30 days after they receive your invoice. UK law treats it as late 30 days after the customer gets the invoice, or after you deliver if that's later. Email invoices from Invoice Forever and you can switch on up to three reminders, about a week apart, once one is overdue.

Getting the tax right

Pick your country: for 52 of them the tax rate, label and legal notes are applied for you. Anywhere else you type the rate, and a free account remembers it for next time. Below the VAT threshold or in a small-business scheme? Tick “I'm not VAT-registered” and the e-invoice export marks your sales as not subject to VAT.

Clients in other countries

Invoice each client in their own currency. For an EU business client who accounts for the VAT, add their VAT number and the reverse-charge note, which the VAT Directive (art. 226) asks for. A free account can print the invoice labels in seven languages besides English.

What you get

  • Your first PDF with no sign-up

  • Estimates that become invoices once the client agrees
  • Overdue reminders, only if you switch them on
  • Saved clients, reusable items and your logo, with a free account
  • CSV export of invoices and expenses for your accountant
