En juillet 2026, un fichier d'exemple a passé le validateur EN 16931 de la Commission européenne sans aucune erreur ; il ne contient pas encore l'identifiant de participant Peppol nécessaire à l'envoi via Peppol. Indiquez votre pays et celui de votre client sur n'importe quelle facture et l'option « Facture électronique (XML) » apparaît.

En septembre 2026, la facturation électronique B2B structurée est obligatoire en Italie (depuis 2019), en Roumanie (depuis 2024), en Belgique et en Croatie (depuis janvier 2026), en Pologne (KSeF : depuis février 2026 pour les plus grands contribuables et avril 2026 pour tous les autres, les plus petits émetteurs rejoignant le dispositif en janvier 2027) et en Grèce (grandes entreprises depuis mars 2026, toutes les autres à partir d'octobre 2026). La France a démarré le 1er septembre 2026 : toutes les entreprises doivent désormais pouvoir recevoir des factures électroniques, et les grandes entreprises et les ETI doivent en émettre ; les PME le devront à partir de septembre 2027. L'Allemagne impose la réception des factures électroniques depuis janvier 2025, l'émission étant introduite en 2027–2028. La Slovaquie (janvier 2027), la Lettonie (janvier 2028), l'Irlande (novembre 2028) et le Royaume-Uni (avril 2029) ont fixé des dates, et les Pays-Bas prévoient un démarrage en juillet 2030 (pas encore inscrit dans la loi). L'Autriche, la Tchéquie et la Bulgarie n'ont pas d'obligation B2B ; leurs règles ne concernent que le secteur public. Hors d'Europe, la Turquie impose la facturation électronique au-delà de 3 millions de TRY de chiffre d'affaires, et le Nigeria la déploie par taille d'entreprise.

Un PDF est essentiellement une image numérique d'une facture ; une facture électronique est un fichier structuré et lisible par machine (par exemple une EN 16931 transmise via Peppol) qu'un autre système peut traiter automatiquement. Les obligations exigent le format structuré — un PDF seul n'y répond pas.

Oui — sur toute facture où votre pays et celui de votre client sont renseignés, vous pouvez télécharger une facture électronique structurée EN 16931 (UBL XML) en plus du PDF. En juillet 2026, un fichier d'exemple a passé le validateur EN 16931 de la Commission européenne sans erreur ; l'identifiant de participant Peppol requis pour l'envoi via Peppol n'y figure pas encore, et l'export XML n'est pas proposé pour les devises à trois décimales. Cette fonctionnalité est en bêta, et créer le fichier n'équivaut pas à le déposer — vous l'envoyez toujours via votre propre point d'accès Peppol ou plateforme nationale, et quelques pays exigent un format national spécifique (le FatturaPA italien, le Facturae espagnol) que l'UBL générique ne remplace pas.
